Mutant Strains

The SBRC has built up a wide range of mutants in various host strains of different bacteria, including Clostridium, Cupriavidus, Geobacillus and Methanotrophs. These include pyrE mutants which can be used as hosts to generate other mutants via allelic exchange mutants reliant on a heterologous pyrE allele as a counter selection marker, as well as mutants affected in other aspects of metabolism or virulence.

A number of these mutants are available through the SBRC online shop.
